We reveal what the automotive industry must now pay attention to
In a short interview format “Three questions to…” he explains his view:
1. What do automotive companies have to pay particular attention to at the moment?
Autonomous driving, car connectivity, e-mobility and shared mobility combined with strong competitive pressures and compromised supply chains are rapidly changing the automotive industry – you quickly slide off the road. Companies need to constantly evolve their strategies, processes and especially their business management solution to be sustainably competitive!
2. How can suppliers take advantage of the changes in their industry?
Identifying the latest trends and customer wishes. This is associated with a deepening of the product and service portfolio while exploiting the additional value-added potential. It is of enormous importance to avoid bottlenecks in the supply chain and to optimally utilise production lines. State-of-the-art control instruments are indispensable for this.
3. What mistake they should not make under any circumstances?
The biggest mistake would be to believe that we can “rest” on our past successes and “sit out” the market upheavals. It would be fatal to stick to traditional methods and not develop Performance Management from a strong “rear-view mirror orientation” towards prognostic methods (“head-up display”).
